Holt: 2 Smew (both 1w drakes) still on fishing pool on south side of lane to Holt church opposite Sling Pool this afternoon (Terry Hinett, Steph Murphy and Martin Clay).


November 28th


Holt: 2 Smew (both 1w drakes) still on fishing pool on south side of lane to Holt church opposite Sling Pool mid-morning (Roger Blackmore) and still present late morning/early afternoon commuting between fishing pool and Sling Pool (John Sirrett, John Ridley and Terry Hinett) and still present mid-afternoon (Mike Bourne). Also 30+ Golden Plovers in field opposite Top Barn Farm entrance (Roger Blackmore).

Upton Warren NR: 4 Whooper Swans still at the Moors Pool this morning (Des Jennings).


November 27th


Holt: 2 Smew (both 1w drakes) still on fishing pool on south side of lane to Holt church opposite Sling Pool this morning (Ray Chance).

November 26th

Grimley: female AMERICAN WIGEON still at Wagon Wheel Lane Pits on north pit this morning (Michael Pittaway) and still present this afternoon (Neil Duggan and Brian Stretch) and 2 Smew (both 1w drakes) on south pit 11am-11.20am (Michael Pittaway). Also Siberian Chiffchaff at Camp Lane Pits at east end of southern causeway mid-morning with 3+ Common Chiffchaffs and relocated briefly in willow by fishing pool just west of south pool late morning and 2 female Goldeneye still at north end (Brian Stretch).


Holt: 2 Smew (both 1w drakes) on Sling Pool until c10am when flew off (Neil Duggan and Roger Blackmore) and again present this afternoon commuting between Sling Pool and fishing pool on south side of lane (many obs).

Upton Warren NR: 6 Whooper Swans at the Moors Pool this afternoon then 5 flew off. Also Black-tailed Godwit at the Flashes until 8.05am when flew off south (Andy Pitt).
